If it’s your first time in Vietnam, planning the route can be harder than it looks. 🇻🇳
There’s so much to choose from – mountains in the North, beaches in Central Vietnam, the Mekong in the South. The trick is knowing what to combine, how long to stay & where to slow down.
For a 2-week first trip, this is the route we’d suggest:
🇻🇳 North – 1 week: Hanoi → Lan Ha Bay → Cat Ba Island → Ninh Binh → Sapa
Start with Hanoi’s food & street life, then move through limestone landscapes, countryside & rice terraces before heading into the mountains of Sapa.
🌿 Central – 4 days: Da Nang → Hoi An
A slower few days between the North & South. Enjoy beaches, local food, countryside & Hoi An’s old town without constantly packing your bags.
🌴 South – 3 days: Ho Chi Minh City → Mekong Delta
Finish with the energy of Ho Chi Minh City, then head into the Mekong for rivers, local food, villages & a completely different side of Vietnam.
