29 Tháng 10, 2026 · Kiểm duyệt bởi Du Lịch Đâu

We’ve travelled on hundreds of trains in Japan and this is easily the most beautiful one we’ve experienced
But there’s a catch if you want to ride it
You’ll need to plan your trip around the weekend because it only operates a few times each week. But if you can make it work, it’s absolutely worth it
Here’s everything you need to know
🚆 Kyo Train Garaku
📍 Route
Travels between Kyoto Kawaramachi and Osaka Umeda on the Hankyu Railway line
🗓️ When it runs
This is where many travellers get caught out
The train mainly runs on weekends and public holidays, with just a handful of departures each day
Typically:
• Kyoto → Osaka: morning services
• Osaka → Kyoto: afternoon services
With limited departures, make sure you check the timetable before planning your travel day
✋ Comment TRAIN and we’ll send you the timetable to help plan your journey
💰 Cost
And here’s the best part! You don’t need a special ticket
You can ride the Kyo Train Garaku for the same price as a regular Hankyu train, around ¥410 (under $5 USD).
No reservations needed. Just tap in like any other train
🧳 Luggage tip
You can take luggage onboard, but we suggest arriving 30 minutes early to get near the front of the queue and find room for your bags
🎟️ Where to catch it
Board at:
• Hankyu Kyoto Kawaramachi Station (Kyoto)
• Hankyu Osaka Umeda Station (Osaka)
✨ Why this train is special
Every carriage is designed around a different Kyoto season, featuring:
• Tatami seating
• Panoramic windows
Trust me, this is one train you HAVE to experience!
📌 Save this for your Japan itinerary and share it with someone you’d love to ride with
